Alison Van Pelt in her Los Angeles studio with large-scale portrait paintings

Alison Van Pelt is a Los Angeles-based contemporary oil painter whose luminous, atmospheric work spans portraits, animals, nudes, interiors, and landscapes. Known for her ability to capture light and emotion with a loose yet masterful hand, her paintings have been exhibited in galleries across the United States and collected internationally.

Van Pelt studied at UCLA, Art Center College of Design, Otis Parsons School of Design, and the Florence Academy of Art. Her figurative work carries the influence of the Old Masters while remaining distinctly modern — honest, sensual, and alive.

She works from her Los Angeles studio, accepting commissions for portraits, animals, and interiors.
